How to make a pledge in churchsuite
When we take special offerings or host gift days, some people find it useful to make a pledge – committing to give a certain amount of money either at a specific time, or over a set period of time.
For example, you might pledge “£20 a month for 12 months”, or “£100 in January” or similar.
We use ChurchSuite for much of our administration in church. If you have a ChurchSuite account with us, you’ll be able to make a pledge from their app. If you’ve not installed it, you can find out how to do this here.
Below are the steps to make a pledge in the ChurchSuite app:
1. Login In To ChurchSuite App
You will need to log in. If this is your first time logging in, please search for "Central Vineyard/Nene Valley Vineyard". Select this church, then add your email address and password.
Some devices will also ask for a 'PIN' - this is either a PIN you have set for ChurchSuite specifically, or on some Apple devices this may be the unlock PIN for your whole phone.
Once you are logged in, you should come to a screen similar to the below.
2. Navigate to "My Giving"
Click on the green-blue circle with the 'hamburger' menu (three horizontal bars). This will bring up a menu - select 'My Giving'
3. Select 'Pledges'
On the top of your 'My Giving' screen there are three options - Donations, Pledges and Declarations. Choose 'Pledges'.
4. Create a new pledge
If you have made a pledge before, you may see these listed - or else there will be a notification saying you don't have any pledges. To add a new pledge click the 'Add Pledge' button to the top right on the screen.
5. Complete and Submit your pledge
Fill out the form.
For 'Fund' select 'Making Room for Others 23/24'. Do not select other funds. Please note, some of these 'funds' will be present as they have been live in the current financial year - they may not be currently active however.
One-off pledge
For a one off pledge, select a Start Date, but not a finish date, and leave the Frequency option as the default (monthly). The simply add your one off amount in the bottom box and click 'Save'.Recurring Pledge
If you want to give a set amount regularly over a period of time, select a start and end dates. For example, if you want to commit to giving for 12 months, you'll need a start date in October 2023, and the end date of September 2024. Adjust accordingly.After this, add your recurring amount. For example, if you want to give £20 a month, add '£20', or if giving £50 quarterly, add '£50'. Then click Save.

If you would rather not pledge via ChurchSuite, simply add a note into the offering in the envelopes provided – filling out your name and email address. Please specify on the note what you are pledging e.g. ‘£100 in January 24’, ‘£30 a month for 6 months’ etc.
