SUPPORTING FAMILIES
kids + youth
We Care About Families
Jesus cared about families and children. And so do we! The church is a family. We have a range of stuff going on for kids of all ages from 0-18.
We want to partner with families to lead the next generation into a growing relationship with Jesus and our kids and youth ministries are fun, loving and life-giving environments where your child can make friends and explore their faith. Every Sunday we start our time by worshiping together as a whole-church family.

We have two groups for our kids on a Sunday morning – Mini Grapes and Club V. These groups begin after the sung worship during our gathering – and your kids can be collected again at the end of the service. If you would like to know more, please contact our Families Pastor, Liz.
LITTLE ONES
UNDER 3
We love little ones! On a Sunday there is no led provision for this age group, though they are always welcome during the service. We have a playmat, toys and a discreet area for breast feeding as needed. You don’t need to worry about them being noisy, sad or messy – they’re as much a part of our family as anyone else.
We do love to connect parents to one another, so if you would like to make a connection, please do get in touch.
INFO FOR PARENTS
God’s Big Story is the framework we use to teach the Bible in a relevant way for all our children as we seek to equip them in their everyday lives. It’s a simple way of breaking the big story of the Bible into six sections.
CHECK IN
Each week you can check your child in using the automated check-in system. This will print a sticker to go on his or her back, which includes emergency details. We will also give you a sticker to be kept as a receipt to present upon collection of your child.
Check-in opens thirty minutes before the start of each gathering and we ask all parents to pick their children up at the end of each session.
ADDITIONAL NEEDS
Whether you are part of our church or just visiting and have a child with special needs, please do get in touch with our pastors responsible for Vineyard Kids to discuss how we can help them to feel at home and the best ways that we can include them in our activities.
CHILD SAFETY
We want Vineyard Kids to be the safest place possible for your child. All of our team members undergo a DBS check when they volunteer and we have robust plans in place in the unlikely event of a fire or other threat to the safety of anyone in the building.
Our venue managers are responsible for all emergency evacuations on site and will lead our team of volunteers in escorting your child to the designated meeting point.
Simultaneously, you will be guided through a safe route to the meeting point where you will collect your child. In the event of an emergency, we ask you not to go to the children’s area on your own, as you may risk harm to yourself and others in the process.
GETTING INVOLVED
We are always looking for new members to join our team. All team members seeking to be involved in Vineyard Kids will be required to carry out a full DBS check and supply references. To start this process please download our Safeguarding Pack.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
In addition to Vineyard Kids on a Sunday morning, we also run other groups and events throughout the year, as well as Child Dedications at least once a term.
