Vineyard Offering 2024 - STARTS SUNDAY 14TH APRIL

Each year, as Vineyard church leaders head to gathering together in Nottingham for VLG, churches and individuals are invited to give to an offering with a focus for the year ahead. Below is info for 2024’s offering.

On Sunday 14th April we’ll be taking an additional freewill offering which we’ll pass on the VCUKI – Vineyard Churches UIK & Ireland. In previous years these offerings have gone towards DTI (Vineyard’s national summer youth festival) and Vineyard Pathway (strengthening the training of pastors, church planters and ministry leaders).

This year there are two focuses:

Gen Z/Cause To Live For Generation.

From VCUKI: “Many of our young adults are sensing a call to live for Jesus in radical ways. We want to invest in providing spaces and places for them to thrive in their life’s calling as they engage with the Lord and with each other, and take hold of the adventures that God is placing before them.”

As a church this is a largely missing generation for us – something we are praying for. We want to sow seeds so that other may reap the harvest – but also in faith that Gen Z’ers where we call home would also begin to burn with passion for Jesus – and we’d be ready for them. (Our prayer always is ‘Lord, the harvest is plentiful, send the workers’).

Each year Vineyard hosts ‘The Cause to Live For‘ for young adults.

Making Church Planting Simpler.

From VCUKI: “When someone is trained, equipped, and released to plant, they go with a vision to reach people who are far from God or who are not involved in church. Their focus needs to be on connecting with people, and communicating the gospel as they build a new worshipping community. The reality, however, is that in recent years there has been a growing number of necessary tasks to be done which can sap energy, time, focus – and joy!”

Church planters end up having to work out financial systems, policies, managing expense claims, filling out risk assessments. With these things – and many more – needing attention, the passion and energy for the things the Lord sent them out to do can get crowded out.

As a church we are committed to making disciples and planting churches across the Nene Valley. This is all at the Lord’s time. But we believe we will undoubtedly benefit in the years ahead from work just like this

SUNDAY 14TH APRIL

This coming Sunday we’ll take an additional cash/cheque offering to pass on to VCUKI. We’ll also have space for you to give by card or electronically – though you can start doing this now if you’d like. Below are details of how to give specifically to this offering.

Our request is that you’d prayerfully consider what the Lord is inviting you to bring. It may be sacrificial, it may be a little – it may be nothing. Our request is simply that you are prayerful.

We’ll feedback to the church how much we’ve collected once all is done – and feedback when we hear from VCUKI on the overall total too.
