We believe prayer is more important than ever. We encourage everyone to develop their own prayer life with Jesus, but we also encourage people to engage with communal gatherings to pray, seek the Lord and call out to him. Here are a few examples:
weekly:
Wednesday Morning Prayer
Prayer led by different individuals each week. No need to have your camera on (so you can join if you’re getting ready for the day if you want to!).
Wednesday 7.00am-7.30am(ish) on Zoom.
Midweek
Crossover Prayer
One for the night owls. We gather weekly on Zoom as we ‘crossover’ into the second half of the week, praying for our church family and for God to move in our region.
Wednesday 11.30pm-Thursday 12.30am on Zoom
Friday Morning Prayer
A weekly daytime gathering to pray as the Lord leads.
Fridays 8.30am-9.30am at Liz Harris’ home in Raunds.
monthly:
Raunds Prayer Walk
We walk the streets of Raunds and pray as the Holy Spirit is leading us.
2nd Tuesday of the month, 10.15-11.15am, gathering outside Raunds Town Hall.
Silent Prayer Hour
Peace in the madness of life. One hour of communal silent (and we mean silent!) prayer. Aimed at being attenable by those on their lunch break (arrive late/leave early as needed)
3rd Wednesday of the month, 12.30-1.30pm at Tom & Ashleigh’s home in Raunds.
Upcoming prayer dates
EMBRACE PRAYER PERSONALLY.
Prayer never happens regularly by accident. It has to be intentional! If you have a rhythm, that’s amazing. If not, we’ve got a suggestion for you below. 7-1-7. Adjust the times to suit you, or embrace part of the rhythm.
7am
DEVOTE
Start the day by giving thanks for the day, and submitting to God afresh for the day ahead. Open the Bible (not sure where to read? Start in the Gospel of John)
1pm
DEPEND
Pause to pray. If you’re not sure what to pray here, pray the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13)
7pm
DESIRE
Each evening, gather with your loved ones, friends and family to pray and worship together. Make room to worship, intercede, be still and seek God – simple and unhurried, wherever you are.
